Twenty Three - Twenty Four

My birthday yesterday was absolutely wonderful. Mostly due to the fact that my amazing boyfriend made it so. It was relaxed & included many of my favorite things: massages, a movie, bowling & lots of delicious food.

The older I get, the less birthdays feel like anything in regard to transitions & getting older. Fifteen to sixteen felt a bit different. I recall twelve to thirteen feeling like something. Nine to ten. I’m sure four to five did even more so. But twenty three to twenty four hardly feels like anything at all. Perhaps because nothing else has really changed though. Besides maybe the notion that I’m now in my “mid-twenties” rather than early, but I’m not sure that means anything either. Although, if going by this change theory, hopefully twenty five will feel significant different than this year, positively so.

The first half of twenty three was exciting & eventful & action-packed. I graduated college, AD’d a feature film & began post-grad life. The second half, while less eventful & awfully difficult at times, has been wonderful in its own right. My goal for this year is to combine what made the past few months fantastic with the sorts of things that lent to the stimulating former months of twenty three. All of this, while also perusing a major move forward, or rather, East.
